BROW-LIFT Non Surgically | 线雕Ask Dr Daniel Chang | Korean Aesthetic Clinic

BROWLIFT

is one of the most commonly performed surgeries to improve saggy eyelids and eyebrows. In KOREA and the US, it remains as a cornerstone treatment for women in their 50s and beyond. The treatment is known as endoscopic browlift.

But do you know, brows can be lifted non-surgically too?

Here are some ways to enhance results. For completeness sake,

we will discuss both non surgical and surgical options.

Non-surgical Options:

  1. Chemical browlift – Combination of dermal fillers and anti wrinkle treatment.
  2. Energy lift – Combination of Laser and HIFU to stimulate neocollagenesis and firm and tighten skin.
  3. Threadlift – Sutures to lift and reposition your saggy tissue. This gives immediate lifting, but effects can be shortlived in some cases.

Pros of Non surgical browlift:

  1. Instant, simple, effective
  2. Natural
  3. Minimal to no down-time

Cons of Non Surgical Browlift:

  1. Effects are not permanent
  2. Works best for mild to moderate saggy brows and eyelids
  3. Requires combination approach for best results, hence takes time.

How does Chemical Brow-lift work?

  1. Anti wrinkle treatment: This lifts your eyebrows by relaxing the muscles which depress your brows, thereby allowing the elevator muscles to work unopposed, lifting your brows.
  2. Dermal fillers: Juvederm, Restylane,  gives instant brow lifting and works nicely in areas which have had muscle relaxant injected.

Surgical Options:

Pros of a surgical endotine Browlift

  1. more dramatic
  2. longer lasting,
  3. with some down time required, within acceptable limits

Here are the types of Surgical Upper face lift

  1.  upper Blepharoplasty :technique used to “lift” up the browswith suture fixation and simultaneous partial removal of the muscles contributing to brow depression
  2. lateral or temporal brow lift: for lateral brow lifting; can be combined with endoscopic brow lifting
  3. forehead lift, endoscopic: for medial and central brow lifting. This is my favourite technique.
