1. What is Juvederm Volite skinbooster?
1.1 What is a Volite skinbooster?
Volite is an innovative injectable treatment designed to improve skin quality for up to 9 months. Its an injectable skin moisturiser, a top grade skin conditioning Hyaluronic acid (HA) gel. Volite is injected into the middle layers of the dermis across many sites to nourish it from the inside out.
1.2 Does Volite skinboosters add volume?
Juvederm Volite skinbooster can be used as a dermal filler. It can be used to add volume and remodelling or Juvederm Volite can be used as a stand alone treatment especially good for our younger patients or if you simply want glowing skin. I find it useful for fine lines for example, skin lines, esp when used together with microbotox. Below is an example.
1.3 How effective is Volite skinboosters?
As mentioned, Volite delivers improvements in skin quality including smoothness (absence of fine lines), hydration and elasticity. In clinical studies, results were sustained at six months, where patients reported that they continued to see significant improvements in skin hydration and were satisfied with their skin.
I find the glow and skin hydration from Juvederm Volite improvement superior to majority of skinboosters in the market. I also find the duration superior.
In the past, i stuck strictly to Rejuran Healer PDRN. I was awaiting more evidence and I like to stick to tried and tested, time honoured products. I have to say, I think Profhilo is really badass good. Now, theres Nucleofill PDRN, a higher molecular weight PDRN that has a role to contribute in skin rejuvenation. And with Juvederm Volite, we have a skinbooster treatment that lasts 9 months.

As you grow older, your skin’s hyaluronic acid levels dip. Hyaluronic acid is one of the things that keep skin looking plumped up and hydrated,
There are a number of brands of injectable moisturiser out there, but Profhilo is the one that has caught people’s imagination. It’s not a filler, it doesn’t add volume to the face, but it improves the skin health and strength.
BONUS: Profhilo requires far fewer injections than some other products, so less pain, less downtime, less bruising.
Profhilo works from the inside, boosting hydration and encouraging bioremodelling of your collagen and elastin fibres.
Older skin is characterised by loss of and abnormalities in Hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin.
In this way, Profhilo is designed to improve the levels and quality of the three biological factors, keeping your skin looking fresh, plump and youthful

3.5 What is nucleofill and how does it help aging?
- Its main indication is the treatment of facial aging as it reverses the effects of skin laxity associated with age.
- ✓ Bioremodelation: with the concentration of Nucleofill 2% we have the possibility of
- intervening on skin laxity.
- ✓ Bioregenerating the dermis and stimulating the synthesis of collagen and elastin. This will
- stimulate the fibroblast and achieve a neoformation of the dermal matrix, as well as a
- restructuring thereof – thanks to the formation of type I collagen.
- ✓ Hydrolifting: hydrating and stimulating the production of endogenous hyaluronic acid.
- ✓ Support in the mechanical remodeling of the dermis.
- Nucleofill has beneficial properties at different levels:
- ✓ Increased synthesis of collagen in keratinocytes;
- ✓ Increase in elastin synthesis (by fibroblasts and keratinocytes);
- ✓ Increase in fibroblast synthesis;
- ✓ Feeding of the dermis cells;
- ✓ Improvement of the elasticity of the skin;
- ✓ Less inflammatory response;
- ✓ Prolonged action over time.
Conclusion: Is Profhilo better than Rejuran and nucleofill?
Safety wise, it is FDA approved.
Efficacy wise, there are clinical papers supporting it, but pretty low powered papers. I would say all have value in your skin rejuvenation journey.
Price wise, it is way more expensive. Rejuran is at $799 per 2ML syringe, Skinboosters at $699 per 1ML, Profhilo starts from 1k per 2ml. Nucleofill starts @800 per syringe.
Previously, I mentioned I will be sticking to rejuran for now, until better studies are out. I have had very good experience with Rejuran for skin tone and textural improvement and as the saying goes, if it aint broken, dont fix it. || Now I say, Profhilo is bad-ass good. And I will recommend it for certain groups of patients, together with Nucleofill for optimum results ✅”
