 What is Aesthefill?

AestheFill is a PLA filler that accelerates fibrous protein regeneration. A long-term facial filler with effects that last 2 years. It is a collagen induction therapy.

What is better than Profhilo?

Based on longevity of treatment result, collagen stimulators like Sculptra and Aesthefill are better. But based on immediate hydration, Profhilo is superior.

What is the competitor to Profhilo?

In my clinical experience, I find the above collagen stimulators ( Sculptr, Aesthefill, Radiesse) to be highly effective for skin tightening as compared to Profhilo. All these fall under the umbrella of collagen induction therapy.

What is the difference between Profhilo and skin boosters?

Th main difference is Profhilo, the hyaluronic acid can spread and hydrate a wider area of your skin, vs skin boosters where the hyaluronic acid is cross linked and attached together, hence a lesser spread. So Profhilo requires only 5 point injection per half of face, vs skinboosters which require multiple injections.

What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is is made from calcium hydroxylapatite. This mineral is found in human teeth and bones.

How much should Radiesse cost?

Prices start from SGD 1499 per syringe.

How much filler is in a Radiesse syringe?

1.5cc, hence the price is very very competitive, given it lasts longer than pure Hyaluronic acid fillers, and has collagen stimulating properties.

Does Radiesse build collagen?

Yes and its on the spot, the Radiesse CaHA gel matrix provides immediate improvement. CaHA particles then integrate into your skin and create a “scaffold” that stimulates production of collagen and elastin. Hence an effective collagen induction therapy.

When does Radiesse look best?

This filler is very fast-acting, and your skin will begin to look more voluminous within one to three days. You should expect to see more significant results after about seven to 10 days.

Is Radiesse better than Juvederm fillers?

Radiesse typically lasts longer than Juvederm due to its ability to increase collagen production within the skin. Most patients will notice the results of Radiesse for 18-24 months (and possibly longer) while Juvederm results last for up to 1 year.

In my clinical experience, I like Radiesse for its skin rejuvenating, collagen stimulating and instant volumizing effects.

What is Ellanse?

ELLANSÉ is a dual-action dermal filler that does
so much more than just correcting lines and folds.
It works fast to give visible results – then it gets to
work deep under the skin to tackle the real causes
of facial ageing.

When will I see the effects of Ellanse treatment?

Volumising effects and a reduction in wrinkles and folds can be seen immediately after treatment. ELLANSÉ will then gradually stimulate the production of your body’s own collagen to treat the underlying causes of facial ageing for long- lasting and natural-looking results.

How long does Ellanse last?

Typically 15 months thereabouts, depending on site of injection, technique and your body’s immune system.

What is Sculptra? What is Aesthefill?

AestheFill® is made of PDLLA. It is an innovative treatment filler that continuously stimulates collagen formation, which helps to maintain a natural youthful appearance and correcting wrinkles due to aging. It is newer than Sculptra and has its proponents.

Sculptra is made of PLLA, the original PLLA product. Which has been the most extensively researched and studied product. It has a long history of use and many satisfied patients.

How long does Sculptra last vs Asthefill and Radiesse?

Up to 2 years, depending on site of injection, dilution and your body’s immune system.

Sculptra vs. Radiesse: The Difference in Composition

Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic, non-toxic, polymer material that is absorbed by the body over time. We have known it for decades in dissolvable stitches.

Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite, a mineral-like compound found naturally in bones and teeth, biosynthetically produced to lessen the risk of allergic reactions and suspended in a gel.

In my clinical experience, >90% of my sculptra patient liked their result and return after 2 year for another round.

What is the difference between Sculptra vs Aesthefill vs Radiesse | The Difference in Mechanism of Action

Sculptra and Aesthfill uses an inflammatory response in order to trigger the body’s natural production of collagen. Upon injection, the body’s immune system responds by creating fibroblasts (connective tissue cells) to surround the “foreign body,” the filler, the result being firmer, thicker skin.

Radiesse is non-inflammatory. The hydrogen, oxygen and carbon in the gel create a structure that mimics connective tissue and acts as a scaffold, a building block that supports the growth of new tissue surrounding the injection site. In addition to its role in stimulating collagen production, Radiesse creates volume due to its thick, elastic and adhesive nature. Due to this nature, Radiesse needs to be injected more deeply into the skin than Sculptra.

Is Sculptra, Aesthefill, polylactic acid good for skin? Is Radiesse, calcium hydroxyapatite good for skin?

Absolutely. It is a collagen stimulator. My question to you is, is collagen good for your skin? We start losing collagen from the age of 25. =P

Is there anything better than Sculptra?

Sculptra’s main drawback is the gradual process, so if you are looking for instant volumising or facial enhancement, then dermal fillers like Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal, Boletero would be more suitable.

Is Sculptra more natural-looking?

Precisely because of its gradual neo-collagenesis, its results are most natural looking and lasting.

What is Aesthefill?

AestheFill is a PLA filler that accelerates fibrous protein regeneration.

A long-term facial filler with effects that last for up to 2 years, AestheFill gradually accelerates fibrous protein regeneration, resulting in a natural increase in volume. It is injected deeper into the skin in comparison to normal fillers for fundamentally better effects.

What is the main ingredient in aesthefill?

It is polylactic acid, but in a newer formulation for safer and better use.

How does Aesthefill work?

  1. Before treatment:
skin is wrinkled and lacks volume from age
  2. Upon injection, AestheFill immediately fills the skin and add volume
  3. After about 1 week, the solution dissolves and slightly decreases in volume. Over time, the volume increases again and improves wrinkles

2 Weeks Later

Empty spaces between PLA particles are filled with cells.

2 months Later

Spaces between particles are completely filled. Cells start to move into the porous PLA particles.

3 – 6 months Later

Cells completely fill up the PLA particles as well as
the spaces in between.

What are the advantages of aesthefill?

  1. Safety
  2. No toxic by-products
  3. Biodegradation. Biocompatibility
  4. No long term side effects but longer lasting result
  5. Bioresorption

What are the benefits of aesthefill?

1. PDLLA, the main component of AestheFill, is a biodegradable
and biocompatible polymer used in the medical industry for
many years.

2. Safe and Non-toxic: PDLLA is degraded in the body by
hydrolysis to lactic acid and glycogen. Then, as a result of
metabolism, it breaks down into carbon dioxide and water
and is excreted from the body.

3. The end result of PDLLA breakdown is H2O and CO2, which
are eliminated from the body over time.

How effective is aesthefill?

Effectiveness is evident. There is prolonged action due to a longer residence time in the tissues.

How safe is Aesthefill?

Safety

high degree of safety and reliability confirmed by clinical trials and certifications.

  1. Completely disappears due to hydrolysis
  2. PDLLA is safe and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) GRAS: Generally Recognized as Safe registered in 1984.
  1. Certified in the European Union, Korea, Taiwan

Is AESTHEFILL® safe? Is Sculptra safe?

Both are FDA approved medical products, hence assessed for safety and efficacy.

  1. Completely Biodegradable: Through hydrolysis, PDDLLA and PLLA is broken down into carbon dioxide and water, which is then excreted outside the body.
  2. There is no migration of PDLLA into other tissue after injection.

What can we expect after Aesthefill, Sculptra, Radiesse injections?

Key difference is only one session of radiesse is needed, with results commonly 15 months and beyond.

For asthefill and sculptra, the recommendation is 3 monthly sessions for optimum results, lasting up to 2 years. The collagen stimulation is noted to be more lasting and more in quantity.

Sculptra vs Aesthefill vs. Radiesse | The Difference in Results?

Sculptra and Aesthefill results in a very natural looking increase in volume that develops over a period of time. Collagen is not magically formed overnight. Results typically appear after 6 weeks. The benefit is an extremely natural and youthful appearance that can last for more than two years.

Radiesse provides immediate volumizing effects, somewhat similar to what an implant would. It will last from a year to 18 months. The issue of the immediate improvement is that Radiesse cannot be easily removed if you are unhappy with the results. You will need to wait until it takes its normal course.

Important: Duration for any dermal filler is difficult to determine, it is multifactorial, such as the area of the face injected, the amount of filler injected, and an individual’s rate of metabolism.

What is the cost of Aesthetfill vs Sculptra vs Radiesse?

Since only 1 session of radiesse is needed, its price point is $1688.

$1500 per vial for Sculptra and Asthefill. Both these products require minimum of 3 sessions.

What’s the difference between Aesthefill, Sculptra, radiesse and dermal fillers?

Other fillers, like Boletero, Juvederm and Restylane, are formulated using hyaluronic acid and are designed to immediately fill in the areas of volume deficit, be it wrinkles, creases etc.

Sculptra,, Asthefill and radiesse are collagen stimulators. It is made from polylactic acid, which is a product of sugar cane.

What is comparable to Aesthefill and Sculptra?

Radiesse is an injectable filler that combines a gel with tiny calcium microspheres called calcium hydroxylapatite, which is structurally similar to what is found in the bones and teeth. Like Sculptra, Radiesse is a biostimulator that activates fibroblasts to stimulate collagen production.

Is Dermal Filler or Sculptra, Aesthefill, Radiesse better?

The process is gradual, and Sculptra requires several treatments, hence it is more natural looking AND ALOT more lasting with skin rejuvenation on top of volumization. Once complete, though, the results are typically longer-lasting than dermal fillers.

In my clinical practice, we use both collagen stimulators and dermal fillers for optimum results. Of course, no treatment or injection is a one-size-fits-all solution for people interested in acquiring a more youthful appearance.

What is the difference between Asthefill and Sculptra?

It lies mainly in the chemical compostion. The two products are both biocompatible, biodegradable and biostimulatory, but there are some differences in composition between injectable PDLLA and injectable PLLA which is pretty technical.
